Susanna was excited to go. I wasn't sure how things worked with dropping off, so I decided to park the car along the road and see how far I could get.
I made it all the way to the classroom. Apparently that's not a problem - I wasn't the only parent in the building. Susanna went right in and put her backpack and lunch on a hook and took her seat. She was fine - I was the one who wasn't quite sure...
I went back at the end of the day to pick her up and she was happy. I didn't get too many details but she said she had a good day and liked her teacher.
The second day of school went just as well as the first. And now she is riding the bus home in the afternoon, which she is very happy about. I plan to keep taking her in the morning, at least for a while.
Two days down... how many to go??
About 170ish more! Wow riding the bus that is pretty exciting and nice for you, not to have to go back out. Is her school far? What about Ben...kindergarten or preK?
ReplyDeleteThe school is 3 miles, but it can be a pain dragging Ben along. He starts Pre-K next week - we are both more than ready!
ReplyDeleteSue looks great! I know she was definitely ready for school and she will do very well. Grandpa also started school on Monday at Stevens College and I really like it so far. School can be a lot of fun. Next turn is Ben's turn on Monday. I'm sure he will be raring and ready.
ReplyDeleteSusanna's so cute - she looks ready and happy to get to school - good for her. Hope it continues and also that Ben enjoys his school too.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
